Do you offer industrial sandblasting in Missouri?

Yes. Industrial and commercial work is the core of what we do. Structural steel, storage tanks, heavy equipment, pipelines and industrial machinery, blasted on site so you are not disassembling anything or trucking it to a shop. We are based in Columbia and run jobs across the state.

Can you sandblast structural steel and storage tanks on-site?

Yes. The rig travels to your location fully equipped. We have blasted structural steel assemblies, tank exteriors, parking structures and equipment on active sites where nothing could be moved.

What is dustless blasting and is it suitable for industrial work?

Dustless blasting combines water with recycled glass media at pressure. The water knocks the dust down right at the nozzle, which is why we get called into occupied buildings and live plants where dry blasting would shut the place down. It strips paint, rust, mill scale and industrial coatings and leaves a clean anchor profile for your coating system.

Does wet blasting cause flash rust?

It will if bare steel is left sitting, so we run a rust inhibitor in the water and plan the blast around your recoat window. It is also why about three quarters of our jobs are blast and finish together, so the steel never sits bare. If your painter is coating it, tell us their schedule and we will time the blast to it.

Can you strip log siding, decks and wood?

Yes, and it is some of our favourite work. We take log siding, decks, fences and timber back to bare wood ready for you to stain or seal. Wood needs a much lighter touch than steel, since you want the old finish gone without chewing up the grain. One recent job was a 34 by 16 foot log-sided outbuilding, stripped in about two hours. We strip only, we do not apply the stain.

Do you do powder coating and painting too?

Yes, but read this bit carefully: blasting is mobile and happens at your site, while powder coating and painting are done at our shop in Columbia. So a blast-and-coat job means the parts come to us for the finish. Blast-only work we can do anywhere.

How far do you travel for commercial and industrial sandblasting jobs?

Columbia and Jefferson City are home turf. Kansas City and St. Louis are both about a two hour drive and we run there regularly for multi-day work. Sedalia, Springfield and the Lake of the Ozarks as well. For a large enough contract we will go further. Ask and we will tell you straight whether the drive makes sense for your job.
