Sandblasting in
Kansas City, MO

ShowMe Mobile Blasting runs industrial and commercial sandblasting jobs in Kansas City. We are based in Columbia, just under two hours east on I-70, and our rig comes to your site. There is no shop to haul equipment to and no reason to take a machine apart to get it cleaned.

Kansas City work tends to come from the same places: fabrication shops with steel that needs prepping before it ships, rental and dealer yards with fleets that have gone rusty, food and ag processors with structural steel and tanks, and general contractors who need a stretch of a building stripped without shutting the site down.

Because we travel in for the job, mobilization is a real line on the quote and we would rather be straight about it. Multi-day work in Kansas City makes sense for both of us. A single patio chair does not. If your job is small, we will tell you and point you somewhere closer.

Why Bring Us To Kansas City

Multi-day scopes travel well

The drive stops mattering once the job runs more than a day. Structural steel packages, fleet batches, a run of equipment, tank exteriors. That is the work we set up for in Kansas City.

Active sites stay open

Wet abrasive blasting knocks the dust down at the nozzle, so we can work in occupied buildings and around live operations where dry blasting would shut things down.

One crew, one standard

Eran runs the rig himself. The person quoting your job is the person doing it, which is not the case with most outfits that size.

What We Blast Around Kansas City

The work that justifies the drive, and the sectors it usually comes from.

Steel fabricators

Beams, frames and fabricated assemblies stripped and left with a clean anchor profile before your coating goes on.

Equipment dealers and rental fleets

Loaders, excavators, attachments and yard equipment taken back to bare metal before repaint. Batch work is where this pays.

Food and ag processing

Structural steel, tank exteriors, catwalks and support structures inside plants that cannot afford airborne dust.

General contractors

Facade, masonry and structural work on commercial builds. We have done university and hospital work on active sites and know how containment has to run.

Transportation and fleet

Semi frames, trailers and undercarriages. Rust removal down to clean steel.

Municipal and infrastructure

Bridges, rails, storage structures and public facilities. We have done county road and bridge work including a salt storage barn.

Kansas City Questions

Are you actually located in Kansas City?

No, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. We are based in Columbia, MO and drive over for the job. Everything arrives on the truck, so from your side the difference is mobilization on the quote, not capability on the site.

Is it worth bringing you in from Columbia?

For multi-day industrial and commercial work, yes. For a single small piece, honestly no, and we will say so. The drive is just under two hours, which is routine for us on a real scope.

Can you work while our plant is running?

Usually. The water in our process suppresses dust at the nozzle, which is the main reason we get called into occupied buildings. We have run multi-week jobs inside a working hospital and staged a parking structure so sections stayed open.

What about flash rust on bare steel?

Any wet process will flash rust bare steel if it sits. We run a rust inhibitor in the water and plan the blast around your recoat window. If your painter is coating it, tell us their schedule and we will time it. About three quarters of our work is blast and finish together so the steel never sits bare.

How do we get a number?

Call or text (573) 808-2771 with the scope, the location and rough size. We usually come back within 30 minutes and can come out for a walk-through on anything substantial.

More detail on our industrial work is on the industrial sandblasting page, or head back to the homepage.
